We are pleased to announce that registration for the New York State School Social Workers’ Association’s  59th State School Social Work Conference is NOW OPEN!    We are thrilled to be returning to The  Sagamore Resort as well as to be able to keep the same registration fees as last year!  We have a great line up of presenters who will be speaking on topics to assist you in your daily practice.   We are especially pleased to have Kimberly Morrow who will be addressing several topics related to anxiety.  We will be offering 4 sessions during each breakout section this year and assigning the largest session to the Ballroom to provide ample space.  See the list below for our Keynote presentations and workshop topics.

We are so excited to hold the State Conference again at The Sagamore Resort.    “The Sagamore Resort is a luxury escape on Lake George with more than 140 years of history. With award-winning waterfront dining, immersive outdoor activities, and an 18-hole Donald Ross-designed golf course, this gem in the heart of the Adirondack mountains is an ideal year-round destination..”   See Pictures Here. 

Room RateStarting at $124 a night in one of the  “lodges” for a total of $148.34 per night with taxes.   Room rates are based on single or double occupancy only. There is an additional charge of $30 per person, per night, for each additional guest over the age of 13 staying in the room.

Please note that once the NYSSSWA hotel block is filled, conference rates may no longer apply.
Suites are also available at $289 a night for a total of $331.49 per night with taxes.   Suites include 2 double beds or a King with a pull out couch.  Lake View One-Bedroom Lodge Suites include a separate bedroom with two plush queen beds and a living room with a queen-sized sleeper sofa. Gathering spaces include a breakfast nook with a stove top, small refrigerator, microwave, and dishes for four. A gas fireplace creates a warm Adirondacks ambiance
Resort Fee: “Rates are subject to a $10 taxable Resort fee per room, per night. The Resort fee includes access to two (2) bottles of water in your room daily, complimentary coffee daily, wireless internet in guest rooms and public areas, no charge for local and 1-800 calls, entrance into the Fitness Center, indoor/outdoor pools and waterfront, self or valet parking.

Deadline for Reservations: 
All reservations must be made by the cut-off date (10/14/2024), in order to receive the preferred rates.

Hotel Policies:  IMPORTANT–Please Read.

Deposit Fees:    A credit card is required to confirm each guestroom reservation. A non-refundable $50.00 processing fee will be charged at time of booking. The balance of the stay will be charged to this card fourteen (14) days prior to the arrival date.

Room Cancellation:  Should the reservation be cancelled more than 14 days prior to arrival, the $50.00 processing fee will be forfeited. If the cancellation is made fourteen (14) days or less from arrival, the total amount will be forfeited. In the event you do not arrive on the above arrival date, your reservation will be cancelled and the amount collected will be forfeited at that time.”

Check In/Check Out Times:   “Our check-in time is 4:00 PM, checkout time is 11:00 AM. All guests arriving before check-in time will be accommodated as rooms become available. Our Front Desk can arrange to check luggage for those arriving early when guestrooms are unavailable and for guests attending functions on departure day.
