Wendy Castiglia, NYSSSWA President and Peg Barrett, Past President invite you to join them to “Connect & Refresh” with masks and social distancing after a year of isolation for a presentation on “Foundations of Mental Health Amid Recovery from a Pandemic” by Charles Kron, LMSW, C.A.S. Earn up to 2 Social Work CEUs as well as network with other service providers in our region.
Colleagues will have the opportunity to connect and refresh, in person, from the unprecedented and upended last 12 months of school! Participants will closely examine the powerful effects of nutrition, exercise, community, and circadian rhythm dysregulation on physical and mental health, with a specific focus on the context of the pandemic and altered learning models. We will continue with a focused discussion of the role the pandemic has played in the mental health and well-being of both our students and our greater WNYSSSWA, after a year of digital dismay. How do we move forward? What do we anticipate our focus being as we return to more in person instruction? How do we grieve the past year?
